Meet The Need Atlanta

 

There have been so many great testimonies with Meet the Need. Nothing makes us happier than to see a man come out of jail or prison with only the clothes on their backs and see where they are years later. We picked up Rick Heilman from Gwinnett County Detention Center on April 4, 2006. As is usually the case, we drove up having absolutely no idea what he even looked like!!! Well, as they say, the rest is history. Rick has come a long way. He has “hiccuped” a few times, but most of all he never gave up. He knew his Word, but had never learned to take his thoughts captive. He had allowed Satan to steal from him through a stronghold of alcohol. He learned well  to apply the “One-Step with Jesus” principal. He worked for a while at both Ruby Tuesday and Publix, but came to the conclusion that his desire was to work full time for the ministry and is now on staff with us. He currently resides at our Hoschton location and is responsible for all the intakes, as well as teaching the approved cirrculum.  We are so proud of Rick. He still struggles as we all do, but most importantly, he has learned to overcome through Biblical principals.
