MEET THE NEED MINISTRY, INC.
OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS*
- No illegal drugs and/or alcohol used anywhere at any time while in the program.
- No use of prescription drugs unless prescribed by a Medical Provider and regulated by MTN.
- All Program Participants are subject to on-demand drug screening at any time.
- No tobacco use inside any ministry facility nor in any MTN vehicle at any time. Designated areas are set up for smoking cigarettes
- Must attend two weekly program meetings for a Biblical approach to overcoming addiction. These meetings are mandatory and may not be missed for any reason (except justice system priority) - including employment.
- All Program Participants must obtain employment within two weeks of entering the ministry program. Employment and transportation assistance is available. For all men who are unemployed, job searching is required 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday seeking full time employment. A mandatory, specific agenda is provided by MTN.
- No overnight stays away from MTN housing for the first 30 days. Infrequent visits then only with a family member or spouse at MTN directors discretion and approval on a case by case basis.
- Each Program Participant owes a program fee of $145.00 per week for every week or portion thereof they are in the program.
- Must pay an administrative fee of $145.00 once you obtain employment. The administrative fee can be worked out over a course of six weeks as not to be a financial burden on you
- Must keep your room and the house clean at all times
- Must be responsible for your own food and learn to share with others
- Must observe an 8:00 pm curfew if not employed. If you are employed with a full time job and receiving a paycheck you must observe an 11:00 pm curfew. Justice system requirements and ‘needs of the business’ of MTN will take precedence.
- Must sign a temporary financial power of attorney allowing MTN to obtain, endorse, and deposit your paycheck and manage your finances until all outstanding debts are re-paid to MTN.
- In all matters concerning your life - past, present, and your plans: you must be honest. Dishonesty will not be tolerated and you will subject to dismissal from the program for a pattern of lying and deceitful behavior.
These are Meet the Need Ministry’s basic rules and regulations. Every program participant must sign and agree to a Program Participant Contract before he enters the Program and is placed in a ministry home.
We understand that most men come to us with nothing. We will make sure you have what you need when you get here. Several of our homes are on the bus line. If you are not able to get to work using the bus, we will make every effort and do our best to make sure that you have transportation. This has never prevented a man with Meet the Need from getting a job or getting back and forth to work.
*Lawyers require us to say that what you read on this page is NOT the sum total of all requirements to participate in the Meet the Need Ministry, Inc. Program and we make NO contracts on this page. We are a spiritual development program and we operate on what we believe is the best for each individual. No one rents from us and we do not operate “boarding houses,” “rooming houses,” or “shelters” as usually understood in Zoning Laws and Housing Codes.
