MEET THE NEED MINISTRY, INC.
OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS
- No drugs and/or alcohol on any ministry property at any time.
- No use of drugs and/or alcohol while in the ministry
- All program participants are subject to random drug screenings at any time for any reason
- No smoking cigarettes inside any ministry facility at any time. Designated areas are set up for smoking cigarettes
- Must attend 2 weekly programs for a biblical approach to overcoming addictions. These meeting are mandatory and may not be missed for any reason, this includes your job
- All program participants must obtain employment within 2 weeks of entering the ministry. Employment and transportation assistance is available. For all men who are unemployed, you are required to be out of the house between the times of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday seeking full time employment. You will be obligated to follow a specific agenda provided to you by the ministry
- Not allowed to spend the night away for the first 30 days and then only with a family member or spouse at the ministry directors discretion and approval
- Must pay a program fee of $135.00 per week for the week that you have stayed
- Must pay an administrative fee of $135.00 once you obtain employment. The administrative fee can be worked out over a course of six weeks as not to be a financial burden on you
- Must keep your room and the house clean at all times
- Must be responsible for your own food and learn to share with others
- Must observe an 8:00 pm curfew if not employed. If you are employed with a full time job and receiving a paycheck you must observe an 11:00 pm curfew unless some other time is required from probation or the ministry
- Must sign a temporary power of attorney that allows the ministry to obtain, endorse, and deposit your paycheck from your employer until all debts are paid to the ministry
- In all matters concerning your past, present and future you must be honest. Dishonesty will not be tolerated and it will not be allowed in our ministry
These are Meet the Need Ministry’s basic rules and regulations. Every program participant must sign and agree a Program Participant Contract before he enters the ministry and is placed at a ministry home.
We understand that most men come to us with nothing. We will make sure you have what you need when you get here. Several of our homes are on the bus line. If you are not able to get to work using the bus, we will make every effort and do our best to make sure that you have transportation. This has never prevented a man with Meet the Need from getting a job or getting back and forth to work.
